After the sand box is sealed with heated film, a vacuum pump removes air, compacting the dry sand into the required shape.

Key Steps in the investment casting  Process:

  1. Pattern Preparation: The pattern is placed, and plastic film is heated and stretched.
  2. Film Forming: Heated film adheres tightly to the pattern.
  3. Film Coating: Film is sealed around the mold.
  4. Flask Setting: The flask is positioned over the mold.
  5. Sand Filling: Dry sand is filled into the flask.
  6. Top Film Forming: A second film layer is added and sealed.
  7. Pattern Suction/Draw: Vacuum suction compacts the sand, and the pattern is removed.
  8. Mold Closing: Mold halves are aligned and closed.
  9. Pouring: Molten metal is poured into the mold.
  10. Mold Releasing: The mold is opened, and the casting is removed.

This efficient method ensures high-quality castings with reduced waste and improved precision.
